Defense Only (No counter punch)
Feeder throws only jabs, only crosses, then begins mixing them up. Start off slow, gradually increasing the speed. Have receiver work on slipping outside much more than slipping inside.

Counter Punching
1. Single counter - At first the receiver counters with a single punch as described above. Feeder throws only jabs, then only crosses.
2. Counter with Combination followup - Receiver counters then follows up with a prearranged followup combination. Start off with the basic followup which is, if the counter punch is a hook, add on the cross, hook. If the counter punch is a cross, then follow up with the hook, cross. At first, feeder throws only jabs, then only crosses, then begins mixing them up.
3. High rep slip drill:
  • Feeder jabs - You slip to the outside and counter with a cross, hook
  • Feeder cross - You slip to the outside and counter with hook, cross.
